This book was particularly interesting in that it details the many false steps and missed opportunities along the way, so it's great for getting the process of science as well as the core physics. This physics textbook is designed to support my personal teaching activities at Duke University, in particular teaching its Physics /, /, or / series (Introduc- tory Physics for life science majors, engineers, or potential physics majors, respectively).

The book is not a textbook. There are no tests or questions. It is as close to being a living book as I think you can get when covering chemistry. There are experiments in the book that use household items but it is not necessary to do them. Fun Science Experiments Using Household Staples. 9. Build a marshmallow catapult out of a plastic spoon, rubber bands, and Popsicle sticks. Use a plastic bag and cup to build a parachute for a light toy. Place white flowers in colored water and watch how they soak up the hues. Fizzy lemons are an easy all-ages science experiment.

BOOK LIST Physics with Lab Fall / Spring Title Edition Author/Editor ISBN Available on the Academy’s Bookstore? > Labs will be conducted using mainly household items. Instructors will contact students at a later date if any other materials need to be purchased. Every once in a while, we get a question asking for a book or other educational reference on a particular topic at a particular level. This is a meta-question that collects all those links together. If you're looking for book recommendations, this is probably the place to start.
